Born in small district Muzaffarpur, in Bihar, he is the youngest son to Mr & Mrs. Kumar, who both hailed from very humble backgrounds and came from the families of Farmers. His father was a cashier in SBI and his mother started out as a Teacher in a government middle school. Education was always considered crucial in the family and encouraged by a very progressive Mr. Kumar, his mother ended up pursuing higher studies and became the Principal of Government High School.
Consequently, the parents decided to give the three siblings best possible education and Arunabh ended up spending time in over 10 different schools , before settling in Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan's Vidyashram in Jaipur, where he passed his 10th Std. As true as the the show from TVF, Kota-Factory, he ended up in Kota in 1998 , right after 10th to prepare for JEE and was able to get into IIT KGP in 2001.

Arunabh kumar, is an Indian New Media Entrepreneur, who pioneered online content in India and loves to use technology to innovate in the field of storytelling, education and design.

He could never get excited about Engineering in his college and started pursuing his passion for theatre, storytelling and VFX and decided to become a filmmaker in the summer of 2004, in Goa, where he had gone for his industrial training. After making videos and short films, he moved to Mumbai in 2006 as a Research Assistant with US Air Force in IIT Bombay but ended up quitting the job in months.
After trying his best he was able to get the job of an Assistant Director in the Movie Om Shanti Om, and ended up working in Red Chillies Entertainment for whole of 2007, and considers that his Film-School.
The struggle only started from 2007, when after that he could not find steady jobs neither was able to fulfil his dream of filmmaking. After waiting for 3 years and literally ending up being broke and desperate he decided to start making small AVs and corporate Films for Ad-Agencies and Builders. He managed to make a steady income and after giving up on his dream of making a film, tried to make a TV show, which also was met with similar fate.
He ended up starting a production company called "TVF Media Labs" in 2011, after he served as a Waiter in Goa when he literally ran out of money and was too ashamed to ask it from his parents anymore. He decided to try and make his TV show and put it on a a website and call it "India's 1st Online TV for Youth" which today we know as www.theviralfever.com or TVF. on 21st Feb 2012, he along with his partners launched the 1st original content to have gone viral ever in India known as "Rowdies" , which was was a spoof of Roadies.
Since then Arunabh ended up pioneering numerous things in the field of Online content, like 1st Branded Video, 1st Web-Series, 1st Online Streaming Platform with Seasons of Shows and what not. TVF created India's 1st mainstream web-series called "Permanent Roommates". Arunabh created "TVF Pitchers" which went on to become India's 1st Web-Series to enter the list of Global Top 250 Shows in the world on IMDB. He raised a round of funding from Tiger Global in 2015 End and since then TVF has grown on to become a significant player in OTT Content Industry of India.
Arunabh Kumar came to be regarded as the man who pioneered the Web-Series industry in India, with more then 5 shows in Top IMDB list and was awarded GQ Man of the Year and Fortune 40 Under 40 in 2016. He has since been in various lists like "Entrepreneur's 35 Under 35" GQ's Most Influential Indian, Femina's 10 Creative Geniuses and many more.
He launched his latest venture called Indusverse, which is India's 1st Binge-Read Graphic Novels which is now redefining another medium of Story-telling, and are already being hailed by the top most comic book creators of the world like "Mark Miller" and "Chuck Dixon".
He believes a lot in Education and has started a project called "Fundaa" with his wife, which is trying to make "Career Coaching" accessible to everyone in India.
He is a big champion of Design and Education and in his free time is found working with his foundation to help students from less privileged background.
His zeal for entrepreneurship and innovation has earned him a status of a youth Icon in India.
